Trenton Golden Hawks Soar to Raise $5,700

Quinte West, ON, February 26, 2025 – The Trenton Golden Hawks successfully hosted the Hawks for Healthcare event on February 17- Family Day at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens, raising $5,700 for the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation (TMHF). The funds were collected through donations from attendees, a jersey auction, and other fundraising activities.

The evening was made even more memorable as the Golden Hawks delivered an electrifying 5-4 overtime victory against the Wellington Dukes.

“We are so grateful to the Trenton Golden Hawks, Christina Charbonneau, the fans, and all those who contributed to making this event such a success,” said Lindsay Butcher Dodds, Executive Director of TMHF. “This incredible show of community spirit highlights how important it is to come together in support of local healthcare. Every contribution helps strengthen our community hospital and ensures quality care for all who need it.”

“It’s an honor to support both TMHF and the Golden Hawks,” said Christina Charbonneau, a key supporter of the event. “When the Hawks approached me about purchasing game jerseys for the fundraiser, I was thrilled to take part again this year. It’s wonderful to see the impact of how much we were able to raise at this one single event.”

Tracey Legault-Davis, Business Operations Director for the Golden Hawks, emphasized the team’s commitment to the community: “The Golden Hawks are proud to support TMHF every year. As a local team, engaging with community organizations like TMHF is important to us, and our fans always go above and beyond for our community.”

TMHF extends its gratitude to all donors, supporters, Team Christina Charbonneau, and the Trenton Golden Hawks for their support to local healthcare. The funds will support improvements to the hospital’s busy emergency department, which sees 35,000 visits annually.
