TMHF launches Heartful Women’s Giving Circle to empower women in shaping Trenton Memorial Hospital’s future.

Trenton, ON, June 5, 2024 – The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation (TMHF) is proud to announce the launch of The Heartful Women’s Giving Circle, an empowering community of women dedicated to strategically investing in priority medical equipment to enhance the exceptional care at Trenton Memorial Hospital.

Throughout the year, members will receive updates on a featured project, contribute to its funding, and celebrate our collective successes in improving patient care. The Heartful Women of TMH gather three times a year, in the fall, winter, and spring. Founding Members Lead the Way

The Giving Circle is proud to acknowledge its inspiring founding members: Aleesha Camp, Patricia Guernsey, Heather Tobey, Lorraine O’Quinn, Cynthia Schmidt, Tina Furmidge, and Sherry Archer.

Aleesha Camp, a TMHF board member and founding member of The Heartful Women of TMH, shared her vision: ” There are so many amazing women in our community – when we all come together there is no telling what we can accomplish.”

Membership in The Heartful Women’s Giving Circle is open to all women for a fee of $1 a day.

Inspiring Talks Set the Stage

The Giving Circle’s inaugural event featured two exceptional guest speakers:

Jackie Jarrell, Director of Fitness and Training at the NHL and a two-time World Champion with Team Canada Inline Hockey, shared her journey as one of the first females in a leadership role within the NHL’s fitness program. Her message of empowerment resonated deeply: “Don’t be afraid to stand up for what you believe in.”

Patricia Guernsey, a real estate agent and breast cancer survivor, shared her personal story of early detection through a fortuitous mammogram and the exceptional care she received at Trenton Memorial Hospital. “The people at TMH couldn’t have been more amazing,” Patricia said. ” I couldn’t be more grateful for the care I received. I am forever grateful.” Her story underscored the crucial impact The Heartful Women’s Giving Circle can make.
