O’Quinn Kitchen Party Raises $500,000 net
The 4th annual O’Quinn Team Kitchen Party in Quinte West, ON raised an impressive $500,000 NET for the Trenton Memorial Hospital Emergency Expansion. Organized by Lorraine O’Quinn, the event embodied the Newfoundland spirit of community, bringing together attendees for an evening of music and unity. The funds will support improvements to patient flow, infection control, and space within the hospital’s busy emergency room, which sees 35,000 visits annually. The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation expresses deep gratitude for the O’Quinn Team’s dedication and the community’s generous support.

Quinte West, ON, January 28, 2025 – The 4th annual O’Quinn Team Kitchen Party achieved an incredible milestone: raising a net amount of $500,000 for the Trenton Memorial Hospital Emergency Expansion. Held on the evening of January 25 at the RCAF Museum in Trenton, the Kitchen Party brought the community together in the spirit of Newfoundland’s cherished tradition. Attendees came together to enjoy an evening of music, connection, and unity, all in support of a vital cause.
A Word from Lorraine O’Quinn
“Tom (Lorraine’s husband) and I are proud Newfoundlanders…. Newfoundlanders have always leaned into their sense of community,” said Lorraine O’Quinn, the main event organizer. “On Saturday, we carried that spirit forward with hope, determination, and love for each other. Together, we turned a dream into a reality.”
O’Quinn expressed gratitude to sponsors, auction donors, attendees, and volunteers, especially the dedicated committee and her family. “Thank you for making this night so beautiful. This success wouldn’t have been possible without you,” she said.
