McDonald’s Hospital Day Secures Vital Eye Surgery Equipment for TMH

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, McDonald’s Hospital Day was a great success! We surpassed our fundraising goal of $7,800, raising a total of $7,900. These funds will directly support patient care at Trenton Memorial Hospital by providing a new Ophthalmology stretcher. We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated in this event, including the dedicated staff at McDonald’s locations in Trenton and Brighton. This new Ophthalmology stretcher will significantly enhance patient care at TMH, which performs an average of 75 cataract surgeries per week, totaling approximately 4,000 surgeries annually.

Crystal Sun, owner of the Trenton McDonald’s branches, shared her experience: “While my family and I are new to the Quinte West area, we know how crucial hospitals are to every community and were honored to support TMHF at all three Trenton McDonald’s. I was absolutely blown away by the generosity and community spirit I saw during my first Hospital Day and look forward to continuing our support for many more in the future.”

TMHF Interim Executive Director Lindsay Butcher Dodds added, “We are truly grateful to our community, volunteers and Quinte West and Brighton McDonald’s for making this year’s Hospital Day a great success. Thanks to your generosity, we’ve exceeded our fundraising goal, allowing Trenton Memorial Hospital to enhance patient care with a new Ophthalmology stretcher.”
