“We are grateful to everyone who helped us raise over $106,000 for the TMH ER Expansion. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our community and those involved in the golf tournament,” said Christina Charbonneau, Event Chair. “I’m honored to be asked to serve as committee chair again next year and look forward to it. I’m passionate about our local hospital, and this success wouldn’t have happened without the dedication of the committee.” A highlight of the event was a Hole-In-One victory on Glen 8, sponsored by Lisa Thompson RBC Wealth Management, where Steve O’Connell won $10,000.
Lindsay Butcher Dodds, Interim Executive Director of the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation (TMHF), expressed her gratitude: “We are so thankful for the ongoing support from the community and our sponsors. The funds raised will go a long way toward providing essential equipment for our ER expansion, which benefits everyone in the community.”
Jess and Ian Smylie, John’s family, added, “We were thrilled to be part of the tournament as a title sponsor. We were absolutely floored by the results. We really want to thank all the amazing volunteers, members of the board, and the foundation staff. It is surprising how much Quinte West citizens are willing to do for the community. We are so happy to be a part of this.” Looking ahead, the 2025 John Smylie Memorial Golf Classic is already scheduled for August 8,
