Top hats and the finest of fascinators were seen this past Saturday at the black tie Mad Hatter’s Ball in support of the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation. Over 200 guests and sponsors were treated to a delicious British-inspired meal and extraordinary décor, helping to raise funds for medical equipment at Trenton Memorial Hospital. The 50/50 raffle winner was Connie Squires, taking in a $10,000 prize but in the biggest winner in the end, was the hospital, as $246,000 was raised for a new ultrasound and a number of Smart IV pumps.
The evening included a live auction, with Boyd Sullivan as auctioneer. Incredible packages, including a trip to London, England and an ‘un’-be-Leaf-able” experience in the President and CEO of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment’s own seats with dinner at Scotia Club were some of the highlights of the exciting live auction.
Special thanks to the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation gala committee co-chaired by Lynn Lake and Jennifer Rainbird and including Aleesha Camp, Aleesha Cocek, Rhonda Lafosse, Chris Leone, Arlene Larose, Michelle Mackay, Angela Smylie, Kari Anne Scaletta and Catherine Temple outdid themselves providing a beautiful and whimsical evening and amazing auction items to bid on. “Our sponsors, attendees, volunteers and donors can be pleased to knowing that through this event, they have helped purchase vital pieces of medical equipment in our hospital and demonstrate that they are committed to the vitality of Trenton Memorial Hospital.”
