Thursday, November 4, 2022 – Quinte West, ON. Co-chairs Arlene LaRosa and Jennifer Announced pulled from the caldron today the final results of the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation Boobash event presented by Scotiabank in support of a new Mammogram. A whopping $394,144.04 NET of expenses was raised through the generosity of the sponsors, donors and attendees.
“We are thrilled with the results and overwhelmed by the generosity of our community” says Wendy Warner, Executive Director of TMHF.
“Investing in our communities has always been a strong focus for Scotiabank. The hospital is near and dear to many people in our community, and our teams are happy to come together to support a fundraiser which has such a meaningful impact in the community we live and work in..” Expressed Michelle Mackay Branch Manager of Scotiabank Town Centre Trenton.
The auction surpassed everyone’s expectations with respect to number of items, quality and amounts raised. The dinners provided by Golden Valley, Kaleidoscope and Tomasso’s were delivered door to door for the live event hosted by Paul Ferguson with auctioneer Boyd Sullivan.
The Mammogram is a vital piece of equipment. At $700,000 the Foundation will continue to fundraise for this throughout the Christmas period. With no cure for breast cancer, early detection through a mammogram is the best way to improve a patient’s outcome.
Anyone interested in still supporting the mammogram saves lives campaign can contact the Foundation office at 613-392-2540 ext. 5401.
